This report describes how Kessels B.V. fulfils its due diligence obligations in accordance with Green Button and contains an account of the findings and progress of the past period regarding responsible business conduct.
Kessels B.V. is a Dutch textile importer. We supply home textiles and bed textiles to retailers and institutional customers in Europe. Kessels B.V. does not produce itself, but works together with selected manufacturers in Pakistan and China. Long-term cooperation, transparency and responsible entrepreneurship form the basis of our business operations.
Our policy for responsible business conduct is based on the UN Guiding Principles, OECD Guidelines, ILO Core Labour Standards, UN Global Compact and relevant environmental and product legislation. For further substantive information we refer you to our Kessels B.V. policy.
All suppliers must endorse our Supplier Code of Conduct. In doing so, our suppliers commit to rules of conduct that contribute to a responsible way of producing.
Within the organisation, risks, complaints and improvement measures are discussed periodically, with management holding ultimate responsibility.
Kessels B.V. updates the risk analysis annually at country, sector, material and supplier level. New suppliers are assessed on certifications, audit results and compliance with our code of conduct. In addition, we maintain an up-to-date overview of production sites, certificates and supplier data. Findings from audits, supplier discussions and complaints are taken into account in the assessment and follow-up.
The key stakeholders are suppliers, production sites, employees, customers, certifying bodies, transport partners and relevant authorities. The main production countries are Pakistan and China. These are the two countries where the products of Kessels B.V. have been produced in recent years.
Within the chain, use is made of certifications such as BSCI, OEKO-TEX®, GOTS, GRS and OCS. These certifications support the monitoring of social and environmental aspects.
Kessels B.V. has carried out an extensive risk analysis. This risk analysis identified the following high risks:
The above risks require extra attention, so that as part of the chain we can contribute where possible to reducing these risks at our suppliers. This information obtained is continually reviewed and further deepened. This is an ongoing process.
In order to assess and positively influence the risks throughout the chain, KPIs have been formulated for both our own purchasing and the high-risk aspects from the risk analysis.

Risk analysis
At present, nothing can yet be said about the development of the KPIs over the past year. This is because the wish to meet the Green Button requirements was expressed in Q4 2025. The first half of 2026 has therefore been used mainly to map the chain, to request as much basic information from our suppliers as possible, to carry out the risk analysis, to draw up KPIs and to set up the monitoring system.
The current KPI outcomes therefore form a baseline measurement. On that basis we establish that there is sufficient room for improvement. Incidentally, not all KPIs have been calculated yet, because some information is still missing. The actions outstanding for this include:
The most important action currently contributing to a more sustainable chain is that all suppliers have received our Code of Conduct for signature. In addition, we are requesting essential information from our key stakeholders and will schedule discussions with them to discuss the outcomes of the wage gap analysis.
The results of the monitoring activities are used annually to update the risk analysis, the action plan and the KPIs.
Kessels B.V. has a complaints and reporting mechanism that is accessible to employees, suppliers, workers within the chain and other stakeholders. The complaints policy has been shared with employees. Reports can be made confidentially or anonymously. Every report is registered, investigated and, where necessary, followed up with corrective measures. At the time of drawing up this report, no reports had been received.
In addition, we expect production sites to have an effective local complaints mechanism. The assessment of whether a suitable complaints mechanism is in place at our suppliers is monitored by means of a KPI.

In the coming period we will focus on further implementing our actions and strengthening the due diligence processes. As a small importer, we opt for a practical approach in which continuous improvement and cooperation are central.
